How to use Dynamic fields

Let's imagine...

You want to save a document or a ZIP archive with a name containing the downloading date.

Or you'd like to use the candidate name and last name in the Welcome text on the profile page or in the email letter. 

So we have good news for you, it is possible with Dynamic fields functionality.

Where can it be used?

Dynamic fields can be used in following modules:

  • Accounts > Welcome Text
  • Document Types > Filename
  • Resources > Filename
  • Company Settings > ZIP Filename
  • Merge Set > Filename
  • Templates > Email Body, Email subject, sms
  • Document validation > Rule Set > Value

Each module has its own set of dynamic fields that can be used. Please consult the page to see what dynamic fields are supported.

How to use dynamic fields?

Important: each dynamic field will work properly only with curly brackets. ex. {candidateFirstname}

Here is a simple example of using Dynamic fields. More in-depth guides are available at the end of this document.

Template.
The module is used for scenarios to send notification to candidate (email and/or SMS). Using dynamic field, you can personalize the message based on the context, ex: 

Hi {candidateFirstname}, you'll soon join the {accountName} company, we just need a couple of document (...)
